Despite the lack of living space, the number of completed apartments in Germany is likely to continue to decline. The ifo Institute expects only 185,000 new apartments for 2026. There is hardly any recovery in sight.

Trotz Wohnraummangels dürfte die Zahl der fertiggestellten Wohnungen in Deutschland weiter sinken. Das ifo Institut rechnet für 2026 mit nur noch 185.000 neuen Wohnungen. Erholung ist kaum in Sicht.
