After more than 30 years of conservation work, the US Fish and Wildlife Service has reclassified the razorback sucker from endangered to threatened under the Endangered Species Act. The freshwater fish, found only in the Colorado River basin, has recovered through habitat restoration, fish stocking and control of invasive species.
