Gloomy forecasts: an economy that is being crushed by politics
The prospect of an economic recovery in Germany is quickly dimming. Of course, it is unlikely that the government will hear the wake-up call that is also contained in the new Ifo index.
Die Aussicht auf eine wirtschaftliche Erholung in Deutschland verdüstert sich rasch. Dass die Regierung den Weckruf hört, der auch im neuen Ifo-Index steckt, ist freilich unwahrscheinlich.
